 The main source of information available on groundwater is the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) website which has a number of sections that focus specifically on the provision of groundwater information within Victoria.

 A wide range of advisory services dealing with groundwater are provided by the Rural Water Authorities (RWAs). The RWAs have a major role in groundwater management. Amongst other things they must undertake research, investigations and groundwater monitoring, and authorise bore construction and the extraction and use of groundwater.
